عـاجل/ الحكومة تتحدث لأول مرة عن الأزمة مع الشيوخ، بعد حلهم..

قال الناطق باسم الحكومة الموريتانية، وزير الثقافة والصناعة التقليدية محمد الامين ولد الشيخ: إن رئيس الجمهورية صرح بنيته التقدم باقتراح للشعب لإلغاء مجلس الشيوخ، وذلك لسببين، الأول لاختصار المسطرة التشريعية، والاكتفاء بالجمعية الوطنية، والسبب الآخر هو فسح المجال لإنشاء مجالس جهوية لتكون أقرب من المواطنين، لكن الوزير أكد أن أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ هم من خيرة الشعب، لأنهم منتخبون من الشعب، مضيفا أن ما سيتم إلغاؤه هو غرفة مجلس الشيوخ، وليس الشيوخ.

ونفى الوزير بشدة وجود أي أزمة بين الشيوخ، والحزب الحاكم، أو الحكومة، مؤكدا أن الشيوخ مرتاحون قرار الرئيس حل المجلس، ويدعمونه.
