الصحة العالمية" تطالب بتأجيل الجرعات التنشيطية من لقاح كورونا

دعا المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، إلى تأجيل جرعات لقاحات كوفيد-19 التنشيطية، مشيرا إلى أن الأولوية ينبغي أن تكون لزيادة معدلات التطعيم في الدول التي تم تطعيم واحد أو اثنين في المئة فقط من سكانها.

وقال أدهانوم في تصريح له أمس الاثنين، إن "سلالات أقوى من فيروس كورونا يمكن أن تظهر إذا لم ترتفع معدلات التطعيم عالميا"، مضيفا أن "اللقاحات التي من المزمع أن تكون جرعات تنشيطية يجب التبرع بها للدول التي لم يتلق الناس فيها إلى الآن جرعاتهم الأولى أو الثانية".

وسمحت هيئة الغذاء والدواء الأميركية مؤخرا بمنح جرعة لقاح إضافية من لقاحي فايزر أو موديرنا لذوي المناعة الضعيفة لحمايتهم بشكل أفضل من فيروس كورونا.

وقالت مفوضية إدارة الغذاء والدواء بالوكالة جانيت وودكوك، في بيان، إن "البلاد دخلت موجة أخرى من جائحة كوفيد-19 وإدارة الغذاء والدواء تدرك أن الأشخاص الذين يعانون من نقص المناعة معرضون بشكل خاص لخطر الإصابة بأمراض خطيرة".

وتستخدم الجرعات المعززة أو التنشيطية نفس صيغة اللقاح التي حصل عليها شخص سابقا لتذكير الجهاز المناعي بالمناعة ضد مسببات الأمراض.
