اكتشاف دواء غير متوقع لعلاج مرضى كورونا

قالت مجلة "فوربس" الأميركية، إن دواء يستخدم لعلاج التهاب المفصل، أظهر نجاحا كبيرا في علاج مرضى فيروس كورونا، وذلك بناء على دراسة أجريت في 12 دولة وحققت نتائج ممتازة.

وقالت المجلة في نشريتها الصحية صباح اليوم الخميس، إن دراسة أجريت على نحو 155 مريض بـ"كوفيد-19" ممن هم في حالات خطرة، حققت نجاحا إلى درجة أنه جرى الترحيب بها.

والعلاج الواعد هو "الباريسيتينيب"، الذي يستخدم لعلاج التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي، وكان يعتقد منذ أشهر طويلة أن لديه خصائص محتملة مضادة للفيروسات، لكن المؤكد عنه أنه مثبت قوي للالتهاب.

ووجد الباحثون أن الدواء الواعد قلل نسبة الوفيات بنحو 5 بالمئة، وأنفذ حياة 20 مريضا كان من الممكن أن يموتوا بسبب كورونا في غضون 60 يوما".
