كم يجب أن تقف كل يوم للوقاية من المرض؟

تحدث الدكتور مايكل موسلي عن الفوائد الصحية للوقوف في "تدوين صوتي" بعنوان "Just One Thing".
وكشف التدوين عن سبب كون الجلوس لفترات طويلة "سيئا للغاية بالنسبة لنا" وكم مرة نحتاج للوقوف.

وأوضح الدكتور موسلي سبب وجوب إضافة الوقوف إلى روتينك. ويمكن أن يؤدي الجلوس لفترات طويلة إلى بعض المشاكل الصحية "السيئة جدا"، والتي تتراوح من ارتفاع مخاطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب والسكري من النوع 2 إلى الوفاة من جميع الأسباب.

وللوقوف فوائد صحية مختلفة بما في ذلك خفض نسبة السكر في الدم وحرق كمية "مفاجئة" من السعرات الحرارية.

وقال الطبيب : "إن قضاء المزيد من الوقت على قدميك هو حقا طريقة بسيطة وسهلة لتعزيز صحتك. إنه يرفع معدل ضربات القلب، ويساعد على التمثيل الغذائي الخاص بك وهو مفيد لعظامك".

دعا الدكتور موسلي، جون باكلي، أستاذ علوم التمرينات التطبيقية في مركز جامعة "شروزبري"، الذي قدم الإجابة.

وقال البروفيسور باكلي : "ذكر نفسك بالتحرك والوقوف قدر المستطاع. في العمل قف مرتين أو ثلاث مرات على الأقل في ساعة لمدة دقيقتين، قف فقط على قدميك".

بصرف النظر عن الأبحاث التي تشير إلى العديد من الفوائد الصحية المرتبطة بهذا النشاط، فإن التفسير البسيط هو الجاذبية.

وقال الدكتور موسلي : "للأسف الجلوس مرتبط ببعض النتائج الصحية السيئة جدا، بما في ذلك زيادة خطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب والسكري النوع 2 وحتى الموت من جميع الأسباب".

وأوضح أستاذ علوم التمرين التطبيقي أن الجلوس يبطئ عملية الأيض، ويفتقر إلى التحفيز لأي جزء من الجسم.

وأضاف : "سواء كانت عظامنا، أو الدورة الدموية، أو ما إذا كانت الأيض لدينا تحافظ على سكر الدم، فإنها تنخفض إلى مستوى الراحة" .
