تطوير طريقة جديدة لقتل الخلايا السرطانية قد تمهد لجيل جديد من العلاجات

ابتكر العلماء طريقة جديدة لاستخدام الحمض النووي لقتل الخلايا السرطانية يمكن أن تمهد الطريق لعلاج المرض.

وتستهدف الطريقة سرطان عنق الرحم البشري والخلايا المشتقة من سرطان الثدي، وكذلك خلايا الورم الميلانيني الخبيث في الفئران.

وهي تستخدم زوجا من الحمض النووي القاتل للسرطان على شكل مشبك شعر تم حقنه في الخلايا السرطانية.

وعندما تم حقنه فيها، ارتبط بجزيئات تسمى microRNA، ويتم إنتاجها بشكل مفرط في بعض أنواع السرطان.

وبمجرد اتصالها بـ microRNA، تفككت وشكلت سلاسل أطول من الحمض النووي، خلقت استجابة مناعية.

واعتبر الجهاز المناعي أن خلايا الحمض النووي الريبوزي الميكروي (microRNA) المفرطة الإنتاج، خطيرة، ما ينشط استجابة مناعية طبيعية تقتل الخلايا السرطانية.

ويقول فريق البحث الياباني إن طريقتهم تختلف عن الأساليب الحالية، ويمكن أن تبشر بعصر جديد من أدوية السرطان المتقدمة.

وللأسف، يعد السرطان مصدر قلق صحي، والطرق الحالية لعلاجه لها حدودها، ولكن من المتوقع أن تساعد الأدوية التي تعتمد على الحمض النووي والحمض النووي الريبوزي، العلماء في التغلب عليه في النهاية.

وذلك لأن الحمض النووي والحمض النووي الريبوزي عبارة عن جزيئات حيوية لنقل المعلومات يمكنها التحكم في الوظيفة البيولوجية للخلايا. ومن المتوقع أن تغير مستقبل الطب وتساعد في علاج الأمراض الأخرى التي يصعب علاجها، والتي تسببها الفيروسات والأمراض الوراثية.

وقال البروفيسور أكيميتسو أوكاموتو من جامعة طوكيو، ومؤلف الدراسة: "نتائج هذه الدراسة أخبار جيدة للأطباء والباحثين عن اكتشاف الأدوية ومرضى السرطان، حيث نعتقد أنها ستمنحهم خيارات جديدة لتطوير الأدوية وسياسات الأدوية".
