فيروس «ماربورغ» يواصل انتشاره في دولتين إفريقيتين وأمريكا تتدخل للمساعدة

يواصل فيروس ماربورغ انتشاره المخيف في دولتين إفريقيتين، وهما تانزانيا وغينيا الاستوائية، مما دعا دول عربية والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، إلى إصدار تعليمات لرعاياهم بشأن السفر إلى هذين البلدين تجنبا من الإصابة بالفيروس.

وأعلنت مراكز السيطرة على الأمراض والوقاية منها في أمريكا، أنها ستبعث فريقا من الخبراء إلى البلدين المذكورين،  من أجل المساهمة في احتواء الفيروس.

وأوضحت أن فريقا من المركز الوطني للأمراض المعدية الناشئة والحيوانية سيتوجه إلى الدولتين من أجل الاستجابة للتفشي المتزايد لهذا الفيروس.

وكانت السلطات الأميركية دعت في وقت سابق مواطنيها الراغبين في السفر إلى هاتين الدولتين إلى تجنب الاتصال الوثيق مع المرضى أو زيارة منشآت الرعاية الطبية في مناطق تفشي الفيروس، ومراقبة أي أعراض لمدة 3 أسابيع من تاريخ المغادرة.

وفي فبراير الماضي، أعلنت غينيا الاستوائية عن أول تفش للفيروس الجديد في البلاد، ومنذ ذلك الوقت أعلنت عن 9 إصابات مؤكدة و20 إصابة محتملة، وكلهم ماتوا، بحسب ما ذكرت منظمة الصحة العالمية.

طرق انتقال العدوى

يمكن أن ينتقل الفيروس عبر طرق عدة هي:

دم أو سوائل جسم شخص مصاب أو توفي بسبب ماربورغ.
ينتشر الفيروس أيضا عن طريق ملامسة الأغراض الملوثة 
(مثل الملابس والمعدات الطبية) أو عن طريق ملامسة الحيوانات
وكانت دول عربية قد أوصت مواطنيها بتأجيل السفر إلى تنزانيا وغينيا الاستوائية في الوقت الراهن، مثل الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والمملكة السعودية، وعمان والكويت .
