أكثر من 9400 موريتاني عبروا هندوراس في اتجاه الولايات المتحدة هذا العام

قال المعهد الوطني للهجرة في هندوراس، إن البلاد أصبحت طريق عبور مهم للمهاجرين غير النظاميين المتجهين إلى الولايات المتحدة، خلال الأشهر الستة الأولى من عام 2023، حيث عرفت أعداد المهاجرين زيادة بنسبة 150%.

وأكد المعهد أن ما مجموعه 135493 مهاجرا، عبروا البلاد في الفترة ما بين 1 يناير و 30 يونيو 2023، وينتمي هؤلاء المهاجرون إلى أكثر من 100 جنسية من مختلف أنحاء العالم.

وأشار المعهد إلى أن هذا الرقم يمثل زيادة بنسبة 150% مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من عام 2022، حيث لم يتجاوز عدد المهاجرين الذين عبروا البلاد 54275 شخصًا.

وأوضح المعهد أن حاملي الجنسية الفنزويلية، يمثلون نسبة 47٪ من المهاجرين الذين عبروا البلاد، تليها كوبا 12٪؛ والإكوادور 11٪؛ ثم موريتانيا رابعا بنسبة 7٪؛ وهو ما يمثل عدد 9484 شخصا.
