جنرالات وضباط أمريكيون يبدؤون زيارة لموريتانيا

أعلنت سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لدى نواكشوط، عن بدء 16 جنرالا وضابطا أمريكيا زيارة لموريتانيا، في إطار تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في مجالات الدفاع.

وقالت السفارة الأمريكية عبر صفحتها الرسمية،إن هذه الزيارة تمثل علامة بارزة في الشراكة بين موريتانيا والولايات المتحدة، مشيرة إلى أن القيادة العسكرية الأمريكية في إفريقيا (أفريكوم) اختارت موريتانيا لأنها شريك قوي في الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين.

وأضافت السفارة، أن العسكريين الأمريكيين سيشاركون إلى جانب قائد أفريكوم الأمريكي السابق، الجنرال توماس والدهاوزر مع نظرائهم الموريتانيين لتعزيز التعاون والتبادل وتعزيز المصالح الأمنية المشتركة.

 

وأكدت السفارة، أن هذه الزيارة تجسد "الالتزام الدائم لموريتانيا والولايات المتحدة بتعميق التعاون في مجالات الدفاع والتدريب والتحالفات الاستراتيجية".

 

وأشارت السفارة، إلى أن الضباط الذين زاروا موريتانيا يشاركون في دورة تعليمية على المستوى التنفيذي (تدعى "كابستون") بجامعة الدفاع الوطني الأمريكية.
