الإيكواس تدين محاولة الانقلاب في النيجر وتدعو للإفراج عن الرئيس

أدانت المجموعة الاقتصادية لغرب إفريقيا، بأشد العبارات محاولة الانقلاب في النيجر، داعية الانقلابيين إلى الإفراج عن الرئيس المحتجز.

وقال  الرئيس الدوري لهيئة رؤساء دول وحكومات المجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريقيا (إيكواس) بولا تينوبو، إن "قيادة إيكواس لن تقبل أي عمل يعيق الأداء السلس للسلطة الشرعية في النيجر أو أي جزء من غرب أفريقيا".

 

وأضاف رئيس الهيئة، أن قادة دول غرب أفريقيا يراقبون الوضع في النيجر، وسيبذلون كل ما في وسعهم لحماية الديمقراطية فيها.

 

إلى ذلك، أعلنت رئاسة النيجر في بيان، اليوم،، أن بعض عناصر الحرس الرئاسي بدأوا حركة مناهضة لمبادئ للجمهورية، مؤكدة أن الجيش الوطني مستعد لمهاجمتهم، إذا لم يعودوا إلى رشدهم.
