قاض أمريكي يبطل قيودا فرضتها إدارة بايدن على طلب اللجوء

أصدر قاض فيدرالي، أمس الثلاثاء، حكما يبطل القرار الذي اتخذته إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، منذ أكثر من شهرين، بخصوص رفض طلبات لجوء المهاجرين الذين يعبرون الحدود البرية للولايات المتحدة بطريقة غير نظامية.

واعتبر القاضي جون تايغار من المحكمة الفيدرالية في سان فرانسيسكو، أن السياسة التي تفرض على المهاجرين التقدم بطلبات لجوء من بلدانهم أو بلدان العبور، من أجل الحصول على موافقة لدخول الولايات المتحدة “غير قانونية”.

وكان إدارة بايدن قد اعتمدت منذ أكثر من شهرين سياسة تعاقب المهاجرين الذين يعبرون الحدود بشكل غير نظامي، برفض طلبات اللجوء التي يتقدمون بها، في حين تقبل النظر في طلبات من يحصلون على مواعيد لطلب اللجوء قبل دخولهم الأراضي الأميركية.

 

وأعلن القاضي تايغار تعليق العمل بالحكم الذي أصدره لمدة 14 يوما، مانحا البيت الأبيض فرصة لاستئنافه، القرار الذي كشفت عنه وزارة العدل، حيث أكدت في بيان أنها ستستأنف الحكم.
