FIFAبصدد دراسة مقترح بتوسيع كــأس العـالم لكرة القدم إلـى64 منتخباً

قالت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز، اليوم الخميس، إن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا” يدرس توسيع كأس العالم للكبار ليشمل 64 منتخبا.

الصحيفة الأميركية، أوضح أن الاقتراح يخص نسخة واحدة فقط من النسخ القادمة من كأس العالم للاحتفال بمرور 100 سنة على تأسيس البطولة وانطلاقها لأول مرة في أوروغواي عام 1930″.

وأكدت الصحيفة، أن الفكرة لاقت استحساناً من رئيس فيفا جياني إنفانتينو، ووعد بدراسة الأمر إذا ما طلبت تطبيقه إحدى الدول المشاركة في تنظيم نسخة مونديال 2030”.

ولعُبت بطولة كأس العالم للمرة الأخيرة ب32 منتخباً على الأراضي القطرية، حيث تقرر بعدها توسيع البطولة لتشمل 48 منتخباً في نسخة الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وكندا والمكسيك (تنظيم مشترك) صيف 2026.
