تجمع المؤسسات الإعلامية يدين سجن الصحفي محمدي الشنقيطي ويعتبره تراجعًا خطيرًا في حرية التعبير

تابع تجمع المؤسسات الإعلامية في موريتانيا بقلق بالغ واستغراب شديد توقيف الزميل الصحفي محمدي الشنقيطي، مدير منصة “عاجل” وعضو اللجنة الإعلامية لحركة “كفانا”، وإحالته إلى السجن المدني، على خلفية نشره لمعلومة سبق تداولها بشكل واسع عبر شبكة الإنترنت ومنصات متعددة، حيث قام بواجبه المهني المتمثل في نقل الخبر للرأي العام دون تحريف أو زيادة، ودون أن يكون هو مصدر تلك المعلومة.

إننا نعتبر هذا الإجراء تعسفيًا ومنافياً لأبسط مبادئ حرية الصحافة والتعبير، التي يكفلها الدستور الموريتاني، وتكفلها المواثيق الدولية التي وقعت عليها بلادنا. كما يمثل هذا الإجراء ازدواجية في المعايير، حيث تم تجاهل محاسبة الجهة الأصلية التي نشرت الخبر، بينما يُعاقب الصحفي الذي نقله بكل مهنية وحياد.

نرى في هذه الحادثة محاولة مكشوفة لإسكات الصحفيين الشجعان المهنيين الذين يحرصون على نقل الحقيقة للرأي العام، ونحذر من أن تتحول هذه السابقة إلى سلوك يهدد مستقبل العمل الصحفي ويقوّض المكتسبات التي حققها القطاع الإعلامي في بلادنا.

وعليه، فإننا في تجمع المؤسسات الإعلامية:
• نندد بشدة بإحالة الزميل محمدي الشنقيطي إلى السجن المدني.
• نطالب السلطات القضائية والتنفيذية بمراجعة قرار الإحالة فورًا، والإفراج عنه دون قيد أو شرط.
• نحمل الجهات التي تقف خلف هذه القضية مسؤولية ما قد يترتب عليها من تراجع في الحريات العامة.
• نناشد فخامة رئيس الجمهورية التدخل العاجل لضمان احترام القانون وصون حرية الصحافة، ورفع الظلم عن الصحفيين المستقلين الذين يعملون في ظروف صعبة ويواجهون تحديات جسيمة.

حرية الصحافة ليست ترفًا، بل هي ركيزة من ركائز الدولة الديمقراطية، ولن نقبل بالمساس بها تحت أي ذريعة.
