القمر الثلجي .. ظاهرة فلكية سيعرفها العالم خلال الأيام القادمة

سيكون العالم على موعد مع ظاهرة فلكية فريدة يوم الجمعة المقبل تعرف باسم "القمر الثلجي"، في كل من أوروبا والأمريكتين، في حين سيمتد هذا إلى المنطقة العربية يوم السبت.
وبحسب خبراء فلكيين، سيستمر خسوف القمر، الذي يعرف "القمر الثلجي" حين تحدث الظاهرة في فبراير، لمدة 4 ساعات و19 دقيقة. وتحدث هذه الظاهرة عندما تكون الأرض والشمس والقمر في حالة اقتران كوكبي كامل أو تقريبي.
وبعد بضع ساعات فقط من حدوث الخسوف، سيكون المذنب "45P"، المعروف أيضا باسم "مذنب السنة الجديدة"، في أقرب نقطة له من كوكب الأرض، بحسب "سكاي نيوز".
وسيظهر الخسوف القمري عندما يعبر القمر المنطقة الخارجية من ظل الأرض التي تسمى "شبه الظل"، إذ يمكن ملاحظة خفوت ظاهري لبريق سطح القمر عند توقيت الذروة العظمى التي تسمى "منتصف الخسوف".
إلا أن القمر لن يختفي تماما في هذه الظاهرة الفريدة، لأن أشعة الشمس تبقى مستمرة في السقوط على سطحه، لذلك سيبقى قرص القمر مضاء بالكامل في كافة مراحل هذا الخسوف من البداية حتى النهاية، وهو ما يجعله يبدو وكأنه كتلة من الثلج.
وعلى عكس كسوف الشمس، يمكن متابعة ظاهرة خسوف القمر بالعين المجردة بدون الحاجة لأي نوع من الحماية، ولكن يفضل استخدام منظار ثنائي العدستين.
