ذكرت مصادر خاصة أن توجيها رسميا بسحب قانون السير المثير للجدل والذي تسبب في مظاهرات في عدة مناطق من العاصمة انواكشوط.

وحسب المصدر فإن تعليمات من الرئيس وصلت للجهات المعنية بسحب القانون، وتعليمات للجهات الأمنية بضبط الشارع .
