قال مصدر من داخل الجمعية الوطنية –الغرفة السفلى في البرلمان الموريتاني-: إن النائب عن حزب تواصل المعارض محمد غلام الحاج الشيخ اقترح على نظام ولد عبد العزيز أن يبيع جزء من أراضي موريتانيا للجزائر التي تهتم بالحصول على منفذ على المحيط الأطلسي، وأضاف ولد الحاج الشيخ أن النظام باع العلاقات مع قطر، وهو لا يعرف سوى سياسة البيع، وقد أثارت مداخلة محمد غلام جدلا بالقاعة، وتصدى له النائب عن الحزب الحاكم الخليل ولد الطيب، ورد عليه، مطالبا إياه بالالتزام بالموضوع.

 

وكان حزب تواصل قد ندد في بيان ليلي بقطع العلاقات مع قطر، وهو الموقف ذاته الذي عبر عنه المنتدى الوطني للديمقراطية والوحدة المعارض.
