القضاء يصادر ممتلكات الرئيس السابق

صادر القضاء الغامبي الاثنين ممتلكات الرئيس السابق يحيى جامع المتهم باختلاس اكثر من خمسين مليون دولار قبل مغادرته الى منفاه، وفق ما اعلن وزير العدل.

وقال الوزير ابو بكر تمبادو في مؤتمر صحافي ان “الرئيس السابق يحيى جامع عمد شخصيا او في شكل غير مباشر الى سحب خمسين مليون دولار على الاقل من البنك المركزي في شكل غير قانوني”، وهي اموال تعود الى الدولة.

واضاف “حصلنا اليوم على قرار من القضاء يقضي بتجميد او مصادرة الممتلكات المعروفة في البلاد للرئيس جامع والشركات المرتبطة به”.

وهي المرة الاولى تعلن الحكومة الغامبية تقديرا رسميا للاصول الى يتهم جامع بسحبها قبل ان يغادر الى غينيا الاستوائية في كانون الثاني/يناير.

وبعيد مغادرته، اتهم الرئيس اداما بارو جامع بانه افرغ خزائن البلاد.

والقرار الذي اعلن الاثنين يشمل 88 حسابا مصرفيا باسم جامع وشركائه اضافة الى 14 شركة مرتبطة به، بحسب وزير العدل.

وحكم جامع غامبيا بقبضة حديد طوال 22 عاما.

ورفض الاقرار بهزيمته امام اداما بارو في انتخابات كانون الاول/ديسمبر 2016 الرئاسية. لكنه قرر في نهاية المطاف مغادرة البلاد اثر تدخل عسكري للمجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب افريقيا ووساطة تولتها غينيا وموريتانيا
