قالت مصادر مطلعة إن أيام الاستاذ /سيدي محمدولد محم على رأس حزب الاتحاد من أجل الجمهورية قد باتت معدودة ،مرجحة فرضية ارساله الى السلك الديبلوماسي من بوابة سفارة موريتانيا في داكار خلفا للسفير شيخنا ولد النني الذي يواجه منذ فترة مشاكل صحية ..
وكان الرئيس ولد عبدالعزيز قد حذف اسم ولد محم من قائمة ترشيحات الحزب بعد أن كان قدم نفسه على رأس لائحة UPR الوطنية ، قبل أن يتم استبداله بديبلوماسي آخر هو حمادي ولد أميمو.
